During the COVID-19 pandemic that broke out in Alanna's home country in March of 2020, she decided there was something she could do to help her community. Using her sewing skills and a wide array of fabrics from her personal stash, she made and distributed over 100 masks to those in her community. About half of those masks were donated to the staff of the Barbados Psychiatric Hospital.
